Tandon PCA
RH-4UJNTandon's AT-class 286, from the drive maker that supplied half the industry. This one was found in extremely poor condition, having been home to rodents: every surface is contaminated, corroded and filthy, and the machine is a candidate for parts or a long decontamination rather than a switch-on.

| Notes | Extremely poor condition throughout — the case had been home to rodents. Heavy rust and corrosion on the chassis, drive frames and fixings; nesting material, droppings, leaf litter and cobwebs inside; plastics filthy and stained. Untested and not safe to power on as found. Identification: the rear label reads "TANDON CORPORATION, CHATSWORTH, CA. USA, MODEL NO. TM 70…" — the last digit(s) are obscured by damage (the documented Tandon 286 of that series is the TM7002). Filed against the catalogue's Tandon PCA (286) on that basis; year and exact PCA variant not established. The serial on the label is only partly legible ("5085…"), so it has been left blank rather than guessed. Label also shows dual voltage: AC 110-120V 50-60Hz and AC 220-240V 50-60Hz 0.5A, made in Singapore. CPU and RAM not yet inspected — the board has not been out. Both fitted drives are recorded as their own parts (the Panasonic floppy as well as the Tandon hard disk), rather than the floppy going in the drives field as usual. |
