Cirrus Logic AVGA3M
Video RH-MXF1The Cirrus Logic AVGA3M reflects the point at which VGA graphics became both fast and affordable. Based on the CL-GD5420, it offered noticeably better Windows performance than many budget ISA VGA cards while maintaining excellent DOS compatibility. With 256 KB of video RAM it was intended as an entry-level solution, but could often be upgraded as software demands grew. Cards like this helped establish Cirrus Logic as one of the dominant graphics suppliers of the early 1990s.
