Pine Technology PT-524/8G
Video RH-58BUThe PT-524G reflects the brief period when VESA Local Bus offered a substantial performance advantage over ISA. Its Cirrus Logic GD5428 accelerator and direct connection to the 486 processor’s local bus made Windows graphics and high-resolution DOS games noticeably more responsive than contemporary ISA cards. With 1 MB of RAM and an upgrade path to 2 MB, it was aimed at users who wanted workstation-like graphics performance without the cost of high-end professional accelerators.
