| Notes | Model not established — recorded on what the machine itself shows, pending a look at the underside/rear label and the board. What is visible: an all-black (charcoal) slim slab of a case, "apricot" logo in white on the top edge, a moulded carrying handle standing proud of that edge, and a 3.5" floppy in a recessed channel alongside it. On the back: a proprietary connector in a black shroud marked MONITOR, ventilation grilles, and an orange "WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE — DISCONNECT MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE SERVICING — 240V ~ 50Hz — FUSE RATING T2 AMP" label. A small blank cream sticker with a red dot on the side face carries no text. No model or serial number found anywhere in the photos. Candidates: the owner suggests an Apricot PC Xi, which fits on the carrying handle, the 3.5" floppy and the proprietary monitor lead, but the PC/Xi is normally seen in cream rather than this black. The black finish would sit better with the later slimline machines (XEN-LS / LS era) or the charcoal Portable family. Not resolved either way, so nothing is claimed here. To settle it: look for a label on the underside or back panel, and for a model or part number silkscreened on the board. Condition: untested. Dusty, scratched and spattered with what looks like paint or plaster; otherwise complete-looking from the outside. |
